Third Place Event Space
Your “Third Place” is the place you spend you time when you are not at home or work. For many of us that could be sports, or your local cocktail bar. Third place is special in that it also offers unique experiences from weddings to the yearly Miracle On Ossington fundraiser. The crafting Third Place was was an opportunity to bring a unique vision to life. With thoughtful selection of materials and custom touches all around, the space feels inviting and familiar yet distinctive. I loved collaborating with the team to create a space that could be a jack of all trades while still standing out with its own character.
It’s incredibly rewarding to know that the craftsmanship behind Third Place plays a small role in fostering memorable nights and great conversations.
Easier said than done!
We carried the existing hardwood floor into the kitchen which was previously tiled.
Matching each board width one by one and reinforcing the mating surfaces with splined joints made the difference on this project.
We sourced lumber that would receive a stain well to match the existing floor.
Milling the lumber in house allowed us to match individual specific board widths to carry the flow through into the next room.
